I recall, that the basic software and stepper motors came from here, but 
I may be wrong:

at the time, the kits were less than $2000, they have gone up.  Another 
supplier is at :* http://www.super-tech.com* 
I have been looking at doing my own stepper controller and buying 
TurboCad's CAM package ($500 as an upgrade I think) whenever I bite the 
bullet and buy one.  Given access to Randy's machine, it may be a while 
though.
