Something else to consider: usually they rate the machines to pierce 1/2 of
the max rated thickness. I think that's a real limitation with a 3/8
machine. But I never used one so I can't say you couldn't get away with
more. But usually if the Mfgr. says it's beyond what the machine can/should
do it's true in the case of plasma cutters.
