[TheForge] Hand crank blower

While demonstrating last weekend I had a guy come up and say that he had
made his own hand crank forge blower from the blower off of a desiel truck.
He said that it is geared so that when turning the crank very slow it puts
out a lot of air.

I observed that it was a pretty expensive piece of equipment for the use,
figuring that even a used blower would be worth $500-$1000.  He said that it
was given to him by a local garage that was scraping out an old engine.

So I guess it shows that you need to keep your eyes open to what's available
around you.
