Well, now, that's interesting...My supplier tells me that his cold- rolled
is definitely 1018, which I take to mean that it's a carbon/Fe alloy and not
A36, whatever A36 happens to be on that day. I know some excellent 'smiths
who use it for that reason. Can't tell the difference, meself, except that I
think it welds a little better.
