I'll say. My vision went from abnormally strong to utter
blindness in about two years. It was very distressing to
discover my arms were not long enough anymore. I'm not a
big fan of glasses, but my eyes don't tolerate contacts
very well and I'm not sure I trust the Lasik technology yet.
Anyone here had it done?

No, that would be me.

It's annoying as hell to pick up the menu, which is printed
in 2 point type, and find you ahve no glasses. Then Seshat

I think it is a measure of refraction, but I don't know this
for certain.
