I am already way down that path to evil- The miller sychrowave 250 is
an AC/DC tig machine, and then I also have a DC only miller inverter
set up with high frequency and water cooled torch. Today, for example,
both of the guys who work for me were simultaneously tig welding for
hours on end. I can also run two aluminum welding mig guns at the same
time, or 2 steel mig guns, or 2 stick welders. Or for that matter, 2
plasma cutters. And I often do these things, or some combination of
them.
We tig almost everything around my shop- partly because if designed
properly, there isnt any grinding, partly because we do a lot of
stainless steel, bronze, and aluminum. But even mild steel almost
always gets tigged- it is quicker, cleaner, and looks better with less
grunt work.
