You cannot weld to or through the brass ,w/ any great degree of success not
w/ mild steel welding rod or mig any way. some thing else might work. I'de
clean the brass off.
worked w/ a mechanic a few years back who hated brass, every time he seen
someone brazing he'd say "whats wrong can't you weld." I'de have to agree,
if it is possible welding is the superior fix. If the brass joint breaks
its just more work to clean it up and fix it right.
