    Bob,  About 8 years ago I talked to a traveling representative of China
when they were traveling as part of a UN tour in our area.  We had supper
with members of 22 different contries.

    I talked to this Chinese fellow and he was saying their goal was to have
everyone in the country making $1,000 per year soon(by 2000)...........that
breaks down to 40 cents and hour(was what he said they were shooting for)!
That is what we are trying to compete with - it's impossible.

    By the way, I complimented him on his goverments asshole actions in
Tenemine Square where they were proud of running over protesters with tanks.
Moves like that ain't gonna win you any popularity around the world you
know.........his comment was - that has been mentioned by absolutely
everyone he had talked to- it was very embarrasing............  None the
less 40 cents an hour or we'll run you over with a tank is very effective in
controling a people.
    It makes it dam hard to compete with though........thank you all you
assholes who gave us free world trade!.........I'm sure their bank accounts
are chocker block full at the people of the United States expense.
