[TheForge] chinese shoes (re-rant)

I think we'll be at the starving level when the gov't is in charge of
capital and the means of production. Most people are starving because the
gov't interferes with the free exchange of goods and ideas between them,
some due to food aid that undermines the farm market or war or despot's self
serving pathological personalities.

I used to feel that rich people were the evil, too. But when I became self
employed I realized that rules to screw Exxon ended up screwing me too.
Most of the rich folks I know work their asses off. They are simply more
motivated by money than I. When we all believe that the products of our
efforts are the property of the gov't and we get what some
beaurocrat/politico sees fit to leave us, then we'll be at that same level
of starving frustration because our motivations will be thwarted. Most
taxes and redistribution of wealth programs are simply veiled theft by our
own representative gov't.

It will end when we (Current consumers) are at the level of the rest of the
starving people of the world and can no longed buy the products that are
created. Only the big business owners will have money and the economy will
stagnate and collapse.
Reagan had the trickle down theory. G Bush Sr later referred to it as
voodoo economics when he was trying to look different then kept basically
the same policies. Either way I didn't get wet by the trickle.
I propose the trickle up theory:
The trickle up theory of economics.
Give all the people who bust there butts working more $$$. We will then buy
cars, homes and a billion other products. The rich will get the money back
they always do. The economy works well when money moves around not when it
only goes in one direction.
I would be willing to support the new theory by spending any money given to
me. I don't mean a hundred dollar tax cut to balance the big tax cuts given
to people with the most money. If the working people make money we as a
country do well.
When I buy products made in America I send a e mail to the company thanking
them for still being here. Un fortunately I can't do this often anymore.
Knapp shoes are still American, at least the new pair I just got was, but
it has been a month now.....
