I had a student in my shop not too long ago and left him to work on some s-
hooks while I went into the house for a bit. When I came back he was making a
knife out of a railroad spike. I asked where he got it and he sheepishly
admitted that him had gone into my supply bin and pulled it out. I didn't
really care, I just hadn't seen him bring one with him. The next two times he
came to the shop, he brought 5 gallon buckets filled with spikes. I had to
tell him to stop bringing them because I was running out of room. :)
