P.S. ... blacksmithing content ...  I'm not so sure that there is a 
"recipe" per se and think that a "good feeling" hammer is a very subjective 
thing.  I have friends who swear by their hammers as "the best one in the 
world", yet when I use their hammer I simply swear AT it.  I do think also 
that there is a need in most hammers to balance the weight fore and aft of 
the eye.
