	That makes all right sense from the scammer's POV.
	I suppose then they bury the bogus link in the middle
	of all this rigteous real estate in hopes that the
	target will ignore the rest of it and go for the bait.

	Simple and clever.  You have to give them an A for effort.
	Shortly thereafter, give them the Louisville Slugger across
	the knees.
