Yee-HAW!

We grow lots of basil and make a lot of pesto every year.

Several years ago we broke the circa 1953 model, Sears Roebuck blender
my wife inherited from her grandfather. Repaired with super glue.

A few years ago the glued rubber coupling gave up. New blender. Had
it smoking in no time. Took it back. New blender II.

Only smoked a little but the plastic ring that screws onto the bottom
of the glass tank broke. Went back and bought the two in stock.
Broke the last one last year.

REAL blenders don't make margueritas. They make pesto. Or....

When I was in school, I worked for the Dairy Science department. I
admired the large Oster all-stainless blender and was told:

We had this nutrition experiment where we fed white rats various
things. At the end, we had to measure the total body fat of
all the rats. It was impossible to get a good measurement by
just dissecting the rat. That blender was the answer. Kill and
skin the rat, throw it into the blender, skull, tail, bones and
all. BRRAAPPPPPP! Ratshake. Mix with ether (shaken, not
stirred :-), separate and evaporate the ether and you have the
       fat.

Now why can't I find a blender that will DO THAT without burning up or
coming apart in my hands?!
