All Hands: Thanks to all who provided feedback on my posting.

Anyway, I'm offering courses in the following, at my new location in
Alameda, CA:

BASIC BLACKSMITHING: This course is designed for those with little or no
'smithing experience. Students will learn, over a five week period, the
basics of drawing, tapering, cutting twisting, bending, punching, tool
nomenclature and use and heat-treating. The course consists of simple
projects and skill-building.

INTERMEDIATE BLACKSMITHING: Another five-week course for those with more
experience. Emphasis will be placed on completion of a project of student
choice. Emphasis will be placed on joinery, using traditional and modern
methods. ( Forge welding will be taught if I can get the insurance)
INTRODUCTION TO BLADESMITHING: Students will forge their own utility knife
from plain carbon steel. Students will forge, grind, heat treat and finish
their blades and construct the knife using the hidden tang construction.
INTERMEDIATE BLADESMITHING: Students will forge a blade from a high alloy
steel and finish using more complex grinding and finishing techniques.

I can design custom courses according to student needs

My classes are limited to two students and I try to be flexible on
scheduling, as lots of folks have regular jobs.

I have taught numerous students in blacksmithing and bladesmithing

Contact me at [email protected] for more info and pricing.

I'm now offering 'smithing classes at my new smithy, and I was wondering if
it is acceptable to post the details on this site, as I have not seen others
do so. Can I get some feedback on this issue?
