	For a given journal size, plain bearings are in principle
	stronger than rollers, but suitability partly depends on the
	bearing material and the precise nature of the ways in 
	which the bearing is loaded.  For machinery such as a
	hammer, I am greatly in favor of plain bearings.  Simpler,
	stronger, easier to maintain and their failure mode tends
	to lean farther from the catastrophic.  When rollers let
	loose, you often wind up with neatly trashed equipment.
	Plain bearings tend to fail far more gracefully.
