Sounds like a great device.  Can you describe it in a bit more detail or better yet a picture?

ON TOPIC
I took and made a hardy-tanged holder that fits the newly added 
alignment guides for my spring fuller collection. now I slap the holder 
in the hardy hole on my treadle hammer or anvil and I can easily  trade 
out different spring fullers during a heat...and win a free hand.....well,
Had to do something while my L.hand was in a cast ( yeah, treadle 
hammer, just one finger).....Pete
