[TheForge] polishing the copper pipe

I've just used ordinary sandpaper, working from coarse grit to fine. So
any set of sanding tools you have will probably work if you're careful.
In the jeweler's forum, people have recommended a new 3m product, with
bristles. But most sanding discs, portable inflatable contour sanders,
flap wheels, etc. should work. You could experiment and practice on a
shorter length of pipe that you get from a hardware store.
