[TheForge] anvil pointing

If you think about the mechanics of the scrolling operation it make sense
for a right handers anvil to have the horn to the right. That way your
not reaching over the anvil , but over and around the horn.
Once at anothers shop I was working on a scroll, and since I was in
anothers domain I left the anvil pointing to the left. As I was working
the scroll over the lefty horn my hammer arm grazed the face of the anvil
(which was very hot at the time) and I received a good 2nd degree burn to
my forearm. ....
With the anvil horn to the right my arm is out over empty space and I can
work the scroll WAY over to the lower back side of the horn... if
that makes any sense.

On
a few occasions I have been told I had my anvil oriented for
a left
hander. Never paid it any mind. For me, the horn to my
right
works better for curves.

Some people are like Slinkies...not really good
for
anything, but you still can't help but smile when you
see one tumble down the stairs.
