hello;
it appears that there is confusion over my description of the lead seal.
i will attempt to clarify.
the concrete floor has roughly a 6 inch diameter hole for the drain. the
copper drain pipe is nearly centered on this 6 inch diameter hole.
between the concrete floor and the copper drain pipe is a lead seal that
appears to have been poured in place.
i have no idea whether the actual shower pan is lead or sheet metal. i
do know that it is not pvc or cpe. the shower walls were painted sheet
metal that wedged into a sheet metal edge in the shower floor.
