Thanks for the Heads up Mike, 

It wouldn't hurt too badly to win that 118 pound old world ABANA anvil! 

I just called LeeAnn at ABANA and renewed my membership.  She said that the 
mailing list doesn't get printed out until next week, so there is still time 
for other last minute memberships. 

I had not taken  notice that my membership had expired in March.  Hmm  now I 
am wondering  if my spam filtering program filters out ABANA email notices? 

Speaking of old world anvils,  I setup  my forge and took my 110 pound 
Russian Cast steel to  a buckskinner outing,  made and sold a few tomahawks, 
hooks, RR spike knives, etc.  The rebound and ring made the  Russian Anvil  
sound very alive.  It didn't suffer damage when the young buckskinner from 
"next door" repeatedly smote the anvil rather than his work.   He had never 
used anything other than a railroad track anvil that his father had made for 
him, and he really liked using a "real" anvil.
