[TheForge] Ford hammer?

Nancy/Jim: The Ford hammer you describe was likely part of a Ford tool kit
dating from the days when auto manufacturers sold tool kits that could be
used to completely dismantle the cars they sold. Likely this hammer dates
from the 1920s, when cars were MUCH simpler, life was more rural and people
lived far away from auto repairers. I have a couple of adjustable wrenches
from Ford tool kits from that period. These can be identified by their
smooth jaws and ends with a small nipple on them for use as a pry of some
sort. Some are ended with a screw driver. Ford collectors would be
interested in such tools to round out their car accessories.
