Bearing in mind I moved out of So. Ca. 30+ years ago and it may no longer
exist, there was the coolest salvage yard in the known universe in Burbank
(I think) It was the basis of the old Andy Griffith TV show "Salvage One"
and was an aerospace salvage yard. Dad and I used to go there when he needed
an exotic metal for something. They had space capsules, rocket engines,
computers and stuff you wouldn't believe, including military.

Anyway, they could be counted on to have virtually anything except car
parts, unless you were looking for an armored car, tank, APC, F104, etc.
