A kcik press is a lot like an arbor or flypress, except instead of using your hands to actuate the "ram" you use a large footpedal.

Check out FAMCO's web site for pictures, capacities, etc.

They are typically used to punch things out of thin materials, or as a rivet setter, and other similar functions.

However, with close to 3 tons of "instant" force available I would think you could use it a lot like a treadle hammer, except instead of impact force you are applying compressive force.
