I bought the All States torch a few years ago on Frosty's recommendation (I
now have 2). They come with a 25 or 30 year warrantee so no more repair
bills.

One of the uses I give them is bending hundreds of 5/8" round hot rolled
bars. The All States shines here for two reasons. First there is the trigger
that turns oxy and propane on together so no adjusting each of the dozens of
times I pick up and light the torch in a day. Second, it heats the rod to
bending temp in 12 seconds.

The torch is made for All States by Harris. Harris makes its own torch that
looks exactly like the All States but not under the All States' patent. A
friend of mine bought one to save a lot of money. We did many comparison
tests. It takes the Harris 22 seconds instead of 12 to get to bending temp.
Big difference.

The All States does take less oxy but I can't say how much. I'm too lazy to
carry those tanks and too impatient to wait when they run out. An oxygen
generator solves that problem.

I'm grateful to Frosty for introducing me to the torch, but I'll never
forgive him for not telling me about the trickle charger igniter.
