Yes, please do- I'd love to see what you have. I've not gotten "On Divers
Arts" yet, because I've been mostly concentrating on smithing and steel, but
it looks like I'm going to hafta get a copy. In the mean time, your notes
and handouts would be extremely useful- and thank you, too, Robin, for
making the same suggestion.
Was just chatting with the guy I'm making the knife for, and his wife, who
is an excellent artisan in jewelry in her own right, says that there's a
better translation than the Dover book, so I'll be looking into that, too.
Does anyone know if it's available in the Latin? Since I do read the
language, I was thinking I could do my own translation of any questionable
bits, like I do with my medieval cook books.
Yeah, guys, I'm serious about this stuff ;-) One of the things I love about
SCA is that no matter how you try to narrow your focus, everything you study
sends you off into more things to learn about ;-)
