In Paris, there is nice wrought iron everywhere on the left bank; all of it 
relatively modern since Napoleon rebuilt that part of the city. Walk any of 
the streets south of the Seine from the Sorbonne to the Eiffel Tower. There 
are many wonderful gates, doors transoms, balconies, ...  It is mostly Art 
Nouveau and traditional. There is also a small medieval museum a few blocks 
south of Notre Dame with some older iron pieces.
