Why not a "felt" glove. A felt made of short fibers bonded together
(and made into a glove) would rip before they dragged the hand into the
equipment. Best part would be that short-fiber felt could probably be
moulded like plastic to make a seamless glove (i.e., the felt is made
right ON a "hand" form). Oh,well, there I go again giving away a
big-money idea.

It has also been reprinted in some of the other blacksmith newsletters.
I
do feel strongly having seen what a hand looks like with some fingers
torn
off. It makes a mess of the drill press too.
