[TheForge] piping question

I went to the pipe supplier in town and asked what to use for 10 psi propane 
and he said use black pipe threaded with teflon paste thread compound.  
Propane supplier came in and said threaded black was ok for the 1/2 psi furnace but 
the 10 psi had to be welded.  Does anyone know who handles weld type pipe 
fittings?  Can I get away with brazing the threaded connections.  Am I better off 
brazing copper?
