        Mike,  I'm proud to know of you and your activities.

        Your projects are a constant source of entertainment. Now I've
always got something to say when anyone asks for a blacksmithing story about
power hammers!

        I too have the same problem owning the Nazel 3B that had a 500 volt
motor on it ...............but I feel like Dick slick compared to you - as I
was going to use a diesel tractor that actually has a working tachometer,
and hook an implement driveshaft to a shaft on the hammer set in pillow
blocks to carry the fiber gear that meshes with the flywheel.........your
solution of rubber with car weight is priceless, fast, down & dirty, but
functional !  Thanks, it's a pleasure to be associated with someone so
resourceful.
