"The straight sided SS beer kegs make good cheap shells for large forges."

I like the idea of using one for a large gas forge -- just about the right
size.

The SS beer kegs make real good slack tubs too, except that it's not just
the dog that wants to drink out of them. <grin> I found a number of them at
a scrap metal dealer in Knoxville several years ago. Do be careful about
just getting them for the deposit. The brewing companies have a lot of
money in them and are trying harder to find out where they go. Down Chuck's
way I know they like to use them for cooking "local food". Home brewers
have been using them for years for brewing. If I remember right true cost
to the brewing companies is about $ 150 new. They expect to get 100's of
fills out of them. I think I paid about $ 35 each as scrap.
