The first cremone bolt I made, for the front of a fireplace door, took over a week. That included figuring out how to make one. Having made one, the next took about 2+ days. The style I refer to has its mechanism in a sheet metal box which is slightly wider than twice the bolt-bar width, so there is a fair amount of fitting involved. George Dixon
