Pick up a cheap disposable aluminum pan that is long enough for the rod,
then if you are married or have kids explain that they are not sparklers.
If you have a vent fan in your kitchen use it and as Ray said a couple of
hours should do it or at least make a difference. Next time you are near a
dealer get a new # 5 box of rods and tape it closed after each use. You
could use 6011, 6012, 6013, 7014 up to 1/8 with that machine if I remember
those days correctly.
