Yeah, basicly. Because I'm also a leatherworker, I have the knowledge and
availability of scrap leather in various weights and types to see what's
most effective for my purposes. One of the things I'm considering, since the
leather will be navy blue (thank Heavens that the special wasn't for puce or
chartreuse ;-O ) is making brass tacks for the thing, so I have my chosen
SCA colors of blue and gold- hey, if I'm going to this much trouble, it
might as well look sharp as well as be functional ;-)
