Agreed- neither do I. Also, keep in mind that my focus is more on using
historical techniques because I enjoy using them, although, now that I'm
employed and have money coming in, I'll be buying modern equipment and
learning how to use it. In the meantime, for a project like we've been
discussing, forge welding would work just fine, although oxy/acet or arc
methods are quicker and easier to use. But, for many aqpplications, you just
can't use forge welding without a great amount of hassle. In applications
like that, I find someone to do what I need for me- which is why I'll be
getting my own equipment eventually.
