[TheForge] more gas (the propane kind)

There are much cheaper industrial temperature probes etc.

Look for Omron temperature controls, in the Newark catalog. Sensors for
these controls can be as simple a piece of thermocouple wire (about 2.00 a
foot) The best probe is one that's stainless steel preferable a solid piece
like I use about 3" long. I then mechanically attach the glass coated
thermocouple wire to the piece of stainless about 2/3 of the way through my
refractory this protects the thermo couple and gives in a reading that's "no
shock" basically that means the junction of the thermocouple is not
directly in the heat source where it can be damaged. I will get the Omron
number later and post it, they used to be around 100.00 and have outputs etc
that could be used to shut down an electric gas valve should something over
heat during a heat treat operation etc.
