I wasn't lambasting you, I actually hear people use the word mute more
often than I hear them use the word moot in that context.  To the point
that I think some people have never heard the proper word.  I couldn't
care less about typos.  However if you want to get torqued about it and
work yourself into a tizzy, feel free.
