I remember an article in one of the newsletters depicting a twisting
machine(sorry, can't remember which one or by whom) he made so visitors to
his demos could actually twist metal.  Something like this with a plexy
shield might be a treat for this budding apprentice.  If she can stand
supported, make her a low wall with a seat or perch close to the anvil she
can reach over and hammer.  This could also be made for wheel chair access.

A face shield might also be of use.  Light leather fingerless gauntlets
might be useful.
