I'm afraid I've chased my tail with designs of a press to get something as
small as possible and still do all I want.
Reflecting for a moment here, the biggest issue I've had in designing a
frame has been dealing with an off-center force. I don't *plan* on doing
things off-center, but I thought that a tapered die or some other odd
operation would make off-center loading an issue.
The huge axial force along with bending makes connections and members *much*
more challenging. Especially when everyting is moving, like with Chuck's
neat inverted design. I thought I had it licked with 2 cylinders and a flow
divider, but that's looks like it's just too much money.
Any comments from you guys that alread have used your press about that would
sure help my anxiety!
Thanks,
Ed
