Kirsten: 14 ga. is pretty tough....it will depend on the condition of the
blade and stoutness of the handle (weight). It could take a little oomph,
but a heavy/long handle is a big help. I have done it, but I don't recall
the make of the shear I did it on, and I weigh in at around 230. Let me
know how it goes....I'm curious, as I would like to have one myself.
