Yes, it makes a very nice and different looking twist. Last month I did a
small demo on twisting angle iron over at Jeff Benson's monthly UMBA
hammer-in. I scanned a section and uploaded the picture to the photoaccess
site in the Other album.
One thing about twisting it ... When you start twisting it starts to go all
squirrelly on you, but don't stop or try to straighten it. It will all
come out in the end. When the opposing edges of the angle legs meet the
bar will stop twisting at that point. It sort of works it's way along just
fine. Also, don't worry if you don't have an even heat all along, it will
all balance out in the end.
Try it, you'll like it.
