For abrasives, I swear by Klingspoor.
I have a wholesale account with them, which means lower prices, but their
consumer prices arent bad either.
They make a 7" psa in at least 3 or 4 different types of sandpaper. For
general shop I use almost nothing but their CS411 Alumina Zirconia- its blue
and lasts forever, even on stainless. cloth backed CS411 in a 7" psa are
about a buck apiece.
They will make your sanding belts in that, or virutally any other type of
sandpaper too.

Bandsaw blades- I like MSC- they are not the absolute cheapest, but they
will make your blades any size you want, good brands of blade stock, and
they ship ups second day for the cost of ground.
1/2" x .020 x 51" in a starret matrix II bimetal blade will run you about 30
bucks each, and last us a month or so of everyday use on stainless. Well
worth the money, but they have lots of cheaper band stock as well.

Since I am at least a half an hour drive from the nearest hardware store, I
tend to order in quantity mail order- 50 or 100 sanding discs at a time, 3
bandsaw blades. I think bimetal bandsaw blades are the greatest thing since
sliced bread. I use em on the portaband as well, and again they last 2-3
times longer than cheapies.
Klingspoor also sells the BEST flap discs- they call em mop discs, and their
blue, aluminia zirconium flap discs, for a 4 1/2" grinder, just last and
last and last, give a great finish, and, if you buy 10 at a time, only cost
a little over 5 bucks apiece. I am so spoiled I only use an actual grinding
disc on my little grinder when I have to take off at least a quarter inch of
material.
