[TheForge] Old Air Tool Help ?

Dave, I hung around the metalshapers list for a couple years and
learned a lot about english wheels, contour markers, shrinkers, etc. These
plannishing hammers are one of the tools the metalshaping fellows really
liked for panel work.
Asking some questions on this list can get you some answers, as many
of these guys buy, swap, sell these metalworking machines.
Jay Hayes I believe still hangs out on this list, and he is an avid
member of the metalshapers and has attended some of their hammerins. He may
be another source of info on someone that has parts for these.
Many of the fellows used these C frame style hammers of all sorts
that they had made up. Some used the die combinations across from each
other like you have pictured in yours......or others made Delrin tooling
that worked real well on light sheet, copper, and aluminum. Others had
made anvils of material made of different durometer resistances.......like
rubber blocks, and soft or hard plastics to yield different qualities in
dishing, plannishing, etc.
I'll bet you find the new tool useful. And you will find the
metalshapers as a very accomadating bunch of folks.

Ralph
