The trick is to use an acid.  Can't recall which one, may be plain battery
acid.  Trick is it eats steel/iron, won't touch aluminum.   Soak the aluminum
part in the acid for a couple of days and then pull it out.   No busted tap or
bolt, just some dust in the acid and a really clean aluminum part.  Wont work if
you have any steel inserts.  I will look in my files today to see if I can find
the acid type.
