[TheForge] propane forge

Morning Marc:
No flare on this one, I too am going to cast it into the forge liner so it
won'd burn out. For the time being though I have a 1" coupler on the end of
the tube for a field expedient flare and it works okay. Not as well as a
properly flared tube but it functions.
Don't use a "T", use a cross instead. I used a "T" because the local
plumbing suppliers don't carry 1 1/4" crosses and I have a lathe. <grin> A
1" cross reduced (bushing) to 3/4" for the tube and bushed to 1/8" pipe for
the jet opposite the tube. The same setup as the single side port but with
twice the intake and best of all, just as easy. <grin>
The output of these things rests firmly on the carrying capacity of the tube
so all other things being equal, the larger the tube the bigger the fire. A
1" tube is twice the capacity of a 3/4" tube. Just bigger, not better.

If it ain't forged
it ain't real.
Wrought iron is.
