Ralph,
I'll keep you posted on my search for metal plate. The industrial
scrap yard out here (Reisners, in Clinton) lets the public in to
scrounge around on Wednesdays after 3. I'll be checking there every
once and awhile. There also is a flame cutting shop in the Boston
area that sells cut-to-size pieces. Lastly, there is the Want
Advertizer.

The fly press is something I've been looking for since I saw photos of
the vessels that Brad Silberberg (I think) did a couple of years ago.
One of the things I will like about the press is that it is quiet.
The interesting thing about the one on my trailer is that the top die
holder is held to the base plate of the screw with a large dovetail
key way not unlike the LG die slots.

The other thing I bought this weekend is 3 5-foot sections of conveyor
table with 12" long rollers. I'm looking forward to getting my small
cold saw set up and off my work bench.
