Ralph,
Regarding steel plate.  I am looking for something in the area of
4x8' of 3/4-1" for a layout table.  I was thinking of trying a  good
industrial scrap yard in the area this fall in the hopes they get some
plate in from road construction companies.  In your experience, after
bieng 'on the road' does this material come in usable or is it
warped/bent too much to use for a flat table?

Ps.  I just came back from a road trip to Rhode Island to pick up a
large fly press, die filer and 50 lb double bick anvil stake,
probabally from the Kenneth Lynch collection.
