[TheForge] nol putnam

Just received a postcard re. a special screening of a 
short documentary about Nol Putnam. It explores Nol's 
relationship with the people in the Plains area as he 
prepares to close his forge after 30 years there.
Nol is a great demonstrator and smith and generally a 
real nice person  
the showing is at the  Village East Cinemas, screen 7;  
181 2nd Ave. (at 12th St.) New York, NY  on Friday Sept. 
20  at 6:00 PM  Title is " The Prophet of the Plains"

Also,  the Northeast Blacksmiths will be having a Hammer-
In near Kingston, NY Oct. 4-6, 2002   Demonstrator is 
Tal Harris.  I saw Tal at the Rough and Tumble  last
