[TheForge] Pexto sheet metal tool, I don't know what it is

I have a pexto tool that resembles a pair of well made shears only one jaw
is an anvil with a slot in it and the other fits tightly into the slot and
cuts a piece of sheet about 1/8" wide.  On the side by the hinge is a bolted
on crimper.  Would someone be so kind as to explain to me what it is and
what its used for.
