My reference book says that my LG 25 should run at about 375, or around six
beats per second. (plus a little)
When I first got it it was running at around 265, and dancing all over.
Wouldn't run at full power at all, just danced around.
Now it's working hard and a joy to use.
If you have a 10" pulley on the hammer, all you have to do is replace that
4" motor pulley with a 2" one. 10/2 = 5, 1725/5 = 345. Close enough to
run well, if you play with the spring tension and height a little. Works for
me.
I have mine on a heavy wood base on a gravel floor, and it rocks sometimes.
Needs to be bolted or staked down, or have a big, broad base.
