You'd be surprised.  I believe it was a late 19th century naturalist who =
was arrested on witchcraft (or some such) charges in a South American =
country because he left a jar of caterpillars with someone with instruction=
s to take care of them until they turned into butterflies!  I think he =
talked his way out of it.
